Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

As trusted professionals, it is important to maintain and strengthen our knowledge, skills and industry expertise in an evolving regulatory and commercial environment.

The FSC supports members through a range of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) opportunities designed to help industry professionals stay informed, build capability and meet ongoing professional obligations.

What is CPD?

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) refers to ongoing learning activities that help professionals maintain and enhance their technical knowledge, professional skills and industry understanding.

CPD supports professionals to remain informed about: regulatory and legislative developments, industry trends and emerging issues, technical and professional standards, and best practice across the financial services sector.

CPD is also a requirement of many professional associations and membership bodies.

The following FSC activities and events may assist attendees in meeting CPD requirements with their relevant professional associations or membership organisations.

FSC Activities Eligible for CPD

FSC Industry Working Groups: 1 CPD point per 1-hour meeting
Policy Briefings (In-person or Webinar): 1 CPD point per 1-hour session; 0.5 CPD point per 30-minute session; 0.75 CPD point per 45-minute session
FSC Conferences & Events: 1 CPD point per 1-hour session; CPD may be pro-rated for partial sessions (example: a 1.5-hour session may equal 1.5 CPD points); 0.5 CPD point per 30-minute session; 0.75 CPD point per 45-minute session
FSC Board & Committee Participation: 1 CPD point per hour of participation; CPD may be pro-rated for partial hours
