FSC Team

The FSC Secretariat is led by Chief Executive Officer, Blake Briggs, and supported by a team of subject matter experts across policy, regulation, advocacy, events, membership, finance and operations. Together, they bring deep expertise and a forward-focused approach to supporting members and strengthening the financial services industry.

The FSC Board comprises 11 Directors and is chaired by David Bryant, Chief Executive Officer, Marsh McLennan Pacific & President of Mercer Pacific. Representing senior leaders from across Australia’s wealth management sector, the Board provides strategic direction and strong governance to guide the FSC’s priorities and impact.

David Bryant David Bryant Chair Chief Executive Officer, Marsh McLennan Pacific & President of Mercer Pacific Read bio

David Bryant is Chair of the Financial Services Council (FSC).

David is the Chief Executive Officer, Marsh McLennan Pacific and President of Mercer Pacific.

David leads a collaborative effort in the region to deliver innovative solutions and greater client impact at the intersections of the Company’s four businesses: Marsh, Mercer, Guy Carpenter and Oliver Wyman. He is a member of the Marsh McLennan International Leadership Team, the Mercer and Marsh Global Operating Committees and is accountable for the region’s overall results. David is charged with bringing together the capabilities from across his business and expanding on what's possible for his clients and more than 4,500 people in the region.

In his role as Mercer President, Pacific and CEO, Australia, David leads Mercer’s 1,600+ colleagues in Australia and New Zealand in providing trusted advice and best in class solutions in the areas of superannuation, investments and workforce consulting.

David joined Mercer in 2020 following a successful 40 year career in financial services, asset consulting, and banking across the Asia Pacific region. Previous roles include Chief Executive Officer, Wealth & Capital Markets and Chief Investment Officer at Australian Unity.

David is the Chairman of the Financial Services Council, a member of the Administration & Risk Board Committee and a member of the Nominations Board Committee.

He is also a Director of the Movember Foundation and is a member of its Audit & Risk Committee.

Daniel Shrimski Daniel Shrimski Director Managing Director, Asia Pacific, Vanguard Read bio

As Managing Director Asia Pacific of Vanguard, Daniel is responsible for all aspects of the management, distribution and operation of Vanguard Asia Pacific business.

Daniel joined Vanguard Australia in 2011 as the company's Chief Financial Officer. He moved to the U.S. in January 2017 to become the divisional CFO of the U.S. Retail Investor Group, which comprises over $US3 trillion in AUM and more than 8 million retail investors. Most recently, he was CFO of Vanguard's International business and a member of the International Leadership Team.

Prior to Vanguard, he spent 11 years at GE across Australia, the U.S. and the Netherlands where, amongst other roles, he was a Finance Director within GE Capital Australia's consumer finance division.

Daniel is a member of the Standards Oversight & Disciplinary Board Committee. Daniel also has a Bachelor of Commerce from Monash University, is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and is a member of the Investment Committee with the American Chamber of Commerce.

Keith Cullen Keith Cullen Director Founder and Managing Director, WT Financial Group Limited Read bio

Keith Cullen is the Founder and Managing Director of WT Financial Group Limited.

Keith has more than 35yrs experience as a corporate executive and entrepreneur across the financial services, broadcast media, and technology sectors. He is the founder and CEO, and largest (non-institutional) shareholder, of ASX-listed WT Financial Group Limited (ASX: WTL).

Established in 2010, WT Financial Group is one of largest financial adviser networks in Australia. Its wealth management, retirement planning, and personal risk insurance advice services are delivered primarily through a group of more than 400 privately-owned advice practices whose advisers operate as authorised representatives under the group’s Wealth Today, Sentry Advice, Synchron Advice, and Millennium3 subsidiaries.

WT Financial Group’s network of advice practices collectively deals with more than 100,000 clients – and have more than $23Bn of assets under advice; annual in-force personal insurance premiums of more than $400M; and new insurance premium sales for circa $25M annually.

Keith is a strong advocate for the advice profession, and for consumer-centric regulatory reform to improve access to financial advice for more Australians. He is also a member of the FSC Advice Board Committee.

Andrew Creber Andrew Creber Director Managing Director, CEO of Australia & New Zealand, JP Morgan Asset Management Read bio

Andrew Creber is Managing Director and CEO for the Asset Management business for Australia and New Zealand.

Andrew joined the firm in London in 1998, holding various roles before relocating to Hong Kong in March 2006 to become head of the Asia Strategy and Planning team. In March 2010 he moved to Singapore to take up the role of Country Head and subsequently moved to Australia in March 2014 to become Chief Operating Officer for Australia. He expanded his responsibilities in May 2017 to be the Chief Administrative Officer for the Asset Management business for South Asia Pacific and South Korea, and took on the role of Deputy Chief Administrative Officer for APAC in 2019 before moving to his current role in 2022.

Andrew was admitted into the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants in September 2006.

Andrew is a Co-Chair of the FSC Fund Management Board Committee.

Nick Hamilton Nick Hamilton Director Managing Director & CEO, Challenger Limited Read bio

Nick is Deputy Chair of the Financial Services Council.

Nick is the Managing Director and CEO of Challenger Limited.

He held a number of other senior executive roles at Challenger, since commencing in 2015, including Chief Executive, Funds Management.

Nick has also held senior leadership roles at Colonial First State and Invesco.

Nick has more than 20 years industry experience gained across Australian and international markets and has successfully led top tier global equity and multi-asset businesses both in Australia and the UK.

Kelly Power Kelly Power Director Chief Executive Officer, Colonial First State Superannuation Read bio

Kelly Power was appointed CEO Colonial First State Superannuation in July 2021 and is also an Executive Director of the Trustee Board.

Kelly oversees the superannuation business including investments and product. She is also a Director of the CFS Superannuation Trustee board.

Previous roles in CFS include General Manager Product in 2018, with responsibility for marketing, strategy and for the Wrap business in October 2020.

Prior to Colonial First State, Kelly was Head of Platforms at BT Financial Group and also held several other executive management roles at BT and Asgard.

Kelly holds a Bachelor in Communications from UTS, a Diploma of Management from the Australian Institute of Management, a Diploma of Financial Services from Integratec and has also completed the Company Directors course at the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Kelly is a Co-Chair of the FSC Superannuation Board Committee.

She is a former Director of the Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia (ASFA).

Matthew Rady Matthew Rady Director Chief Executive Officer, BT Financial Group Read bio

Matthew Rady was appointed to the FSC Board in September 2023.

Matthew Rady was appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of BT Financial Group in October 2021.

He is responsible for BT's Superannuation and IDPS Platforms and investment Products business.

Previous roles include CEO at Allianz Retire+ and other executive roles in companies including Macquarie Group and global financial technology company, IRESS.

He has more than 30 years' experience in the financial services and wealth industries.

Matt is a member of the Standards Oversight & Disciplinary Board Committee.

Matt is also a Non-Executive Director at Breakthrough T1D, a global not-for-profit supporting type 1 diabetes research. He has a Bachelor of Economics and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Allison Telfer Alison Telfer Director Chief Executive Officer, Schroders Australia Read bio

Alison joined Schroders as Chief Executive Officer in February 2026 from UBS Asset Management where she was formerly the Country Head Australasia.

Alison has over 30 years of experience working in Australian and global asset management with roles spanning CEO, COO, product development, strategy, client distribution, legal, compliance, regulatory and government affairs. Alison brings these skills to her leadership of Schroders Australia and its goal of partnering with Australian clients to harness the power of investing locally and globally.

Prior to UBS Alison held a variety of roles at BlackRock over 9 years, most latterly COO Australasia and Chair of the Australian Board. Alison also worked at Challenger, initially as a lawyer, and latterly as director of specialised product development and institutional co-investments after beginning her career as a tax and intellectual property with firms King & Wood Mallesons and Ashurst.

Alison is a former director of the FSC, serving on the FSC Board from 2022 to 2025. She is currently a Co-Chair of the FSC Fund Management Board Committee.

Alison is passionate on the power of investing well, access to education and financial literacy as well as the benefits of a diverse workplace. She is a member of Chief Executive Women and was named in the 2024 AFR Women in Leadership Awards.

Alison holds a BA (communications)/LLB.

Sean West Sean West Director Executive Director, Head of Wealth Management, Macquarie Group Read bio

Sean is Deputy Chair of the Financial Services Council.

Sean has over 20 years’ experience across financial advice, investment management, life insurance, superannuation and wealth platforms. Sean leads Macquarie’s wealth management division. Prior to Macquarie, Sean held a range of senior executive roles in financial services across Australia and Asia.

He is also a Non-Executive Director and Deputy Chair of the Black Dog Institute, a translational research institute that aims to reduce the incidence of mental illness and the stigma around it, to actively reduce suicide rates and empower everyone to live the most mentally healthy life possible.

Sean is a member of the FSC Administration & Risk Board Committee and the Nomination Board Committee.

Scott Hartley Scott Hartley Director Chief Executive Officer, Insignia Financial Group Read bio

Scott is CEO of Insignia Financial Ltd.

Scott commenced as CEO of Insignia Financial Ltd in March 2024. He has over two decades of experience in the wealth management sector and has proven experience in turnarounds, transforming, and growing wealth management businesses.

Prior to this role he was CEO at AMP Australia Wealth Management and previously CEO of Sunsuper. Before joining Sunsuper, Scott led NAB's corporate and institutional wealth businesses, including Plum Financial Services and JANA Investment Advisers.

As well as being an FSC Board member Scott is also a Co-Chair of the Advice Board Committee.

Additionally, Scott has a Bachelor of Business, Queensland University of Technology, he is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and is a Fellow of the Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia.

Neil Younger Neil Younger Director Group CEO, Entireti Ltd Read bio

Neil Younger is the Group CEO of Entireti, which is the parent company of the Fortnum Group, Personal Financial Services, Akumin and Entireti Alliances.

Neil is an established industry leader and experienced Senior Financial Services Executive, specialising in wealth management, licensee management, and advice and distribution, with a profound understanding of financial services regulatory reform. He brings extensive board and responsible management experience across various entities, regulated licensee businesses, and advice boards.

Neil’s extensive executive level experience has been gained from roles such as General Manager at Commonwealth Bank Financial Planning, Head of Licensee Services at BT Financial Group and CEO of Securitor. He excels in strategy development and execution, sales leadership, organisational restructuring, mergers and acquisitions.

Neil is a Co-Chair of the FSC Advice Board Committee and is a member of the Licensee Leadership Forum. He is also an active participant in engagement with Government, Treasury and with regulators, which reflects his active engagement in shaping industry standards and policies.

Neil holds a commerce degree in Economics, a diploma in Financial Planning and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Blair Vernon Blair Vernon Director Chief Executive Officer, AMP Ltd Read bio

Blair will be appointed CEO of AMP effective from 30 March 2026.

Originally joining AMP in 2009 Blair has been the Chief Financial Officer since July 2023. Prior to that Blair was the CEO/Managing Director of New Zealand Wealth Management from January 2017, and prior to this served as AMP’s Director Retail Financial Services; Director of Advice & Sales and General Manager Marketing and Distribution.

From August 2020 to January 2021, Blair also served as Acting CEO for AMP Australia, where he was responsible for AMP’s wealth management and banking divisions with a focus on strengthening client-led outcomes.

Blair has over 30 years’ experience across the financial services sector in New Zealand and Australia.

Blair is a former director of the FSC and served on the Board in 2020.

He holds a Bachelor or Business Studies from Massey University (New Zealand) and a Post Graduate Diploma of Banking from Massey University.

Blake Briggs Blake Briggs Chief Executive Officer Read bio

Blake Briggs is the Chief Executive Officer of the Financial Services Council.

Blake became CEO of the Financial Services Council in January 2022 after joining the FSC as Deputy Chief Executive Officer in 2020, where he was responsible for policy and advocacy on behalf of FSC members.

Blake has extensive experience as an advocate for the financial services industry. Blake has previously worked for Westpac Group, as Head of Government Affairs for Wealth, and at the FSC as Senior Policy Manager for Superannuation. Blake has also worked as a policy adviser and industrial advocate for the Commonwealth Government and the NSW Business Chamber.

Blake is also a member of the Board of Advice for the University of Sydney Business School's Discipline of Work and Organisational Studies. Blake holds a Juris Doctor from the University of New South Wales and a Bachelor in Commerce (liberal studies) from the University of Sydney.

Chaneg Torres Chaneg Torres Executive Director of Policy Read bio

Chaneg Torres is the Executive Director of Policy at the Financial Services Council.

Chaneg is responsible for leading the FSC’s policy team as it develops the industry’s response to legislative and regulatory change.

Chaneg has previously been the Policy Director for the FSC’s funds management portfolio, leading policy development on issues such as the review into the regulatory framework for managed investment schemes, sustainable finance policy, the foreign investment framework, and exchange traded funds. Before joining the FSC, Chaneg worked as a Policy Advisor in regulatory and consumer policy at the Insurance Council of Australia, including working on the industry’s response to the Financial Services Royal Commission. He also has extensive experience working in State and Federal politics.

Chaneg has a Juris Doctor and a Bachelor of Political, Economic and Social Sciences from the University of Sydney.

Hans van Daatselaar Hans van Daatselaar Director, Superannuation Implementation Read bio

Hans van Daatselaar is the Director of Superannuation Implementation at the Financial Services Council, leading industry collaboration to support the effective implementation of regulatory change and improve operational efficiency across the superannuation ecosystem..

Drawing on more than 30 years superannuation administration and policy implementation, Hans champions a collaborative model of reform; convening government, regulators and industry to implement change consistently and efficiently across the superannuation sector and for the betterment of superannuation members.

 Hans also coordinates the Australian Superannuation Cybersecurity Forum and the Superannuation Scam and Fraud Prevention Exchange to advance the sector's agenda in these critical areas.  

Justine Earl-Smith Justine Earl-Smith Executive Director, Commercial Partnerships and Growth Read bio

Justine Earl-Smith is Executive Director of Commercial Partnerships and Growth at the Financial Services Council, leading the organisation’s membership, events, and industry engagement and commercial partnerships strategy.

She brings extensive experience to the role, having served as the Commercial Director at ASFA, where she managed an extensive portfolio of events, conferences, and partnerships. Her career spans leadership roles in major event management, commercial partnerships, and precinct operations, including overseeing teams at The Rocks and Darling Harbour. Notably, she contributed to high-profile international events such as the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games, the 2003 Rugby World Cup, and the 2006 Rugby League World Cup, where she played a key role in delivering impactful partnership and hospitality programs.

Justine holds a Bachelor of Business from the Queensland University of Technology and is recognised for her strategic vision, collaborative leadership and commitment to delivering exceptional outcomes for stakeholders.

Lisa Zolnay Lisa Zolnay Executive Director of Finance and Operations Read bio

Lisa Zolnay is the Executive Director of Finance and Operations at the Financial Services Council.

Lisa joined the Financial Services Council in 2010.

Lisa is a qualified Chartered Accountant with over 15 years’ corporate experience in a diverse range of industries from entertainment, resources, and retail to financial services.

Lisa has held management positions in large ASX listed companies and private investment companies. She also has four years’ experience in the Accounting Profession and works in the areas of financial management, statutory reporting and corporate compliance.

Kylie Adoranti is the Public Affairs Director at the Financial Services Council.

Kylie is an experienced communications and media professional with a demonstrated history of working with government and in the public policy industry.

Skilled in communications, issues management, media relations and research, Kylie held communications roles with the NSW Government, including Communications Director at the Office of the Minister for Finance and Small Business.

Kylie has also worked at the Sydney Business Chamber and prior to that, as a journalist in NSW and Victoria.

Kylie graduated at the University of Southern Queensland, majoring in journalism and anthropology.

Aidan Johnson Aidan Johnson Policy Director, Investments & Funds Management Read bio

Aidan Johnson is Policy Director, Investments & Funds Management at the Financial Services Council.

Aidan boasts an extensive background in shaping policy across diverse realms, spanning federal government budget policy and prudential regulation policy. Commencing his professional journey at the Commonwealth Department of Finance, Aidan adeptly advised the Government on budget proposals. Subsequently, he transitioned to a pivotal role at APRA, where his focus shifted to crafting policies for the regulation of superannuation.

Aidan spearheaded crucial initiatives at APRA, notably contributing to the refinement of investment governance regulations, introducing robust valuation practices within the industry. Additionally, he played a pivotal role in enhancing operational risk financial requirements, effectively addressing resource inefficiencies highlighted by industry. Throughout these endeavours, Aidan collaborated with various Government and industry stakeholders, championing policies that not only mitigated risks but also alleviated burdens within the sector.

Aidan holds Bachelor's degrees in Finance with a concentration in Economics, and Commerce with a focus in Accounting. Aidan is also a Chartered Accountant.

Harvey Russell Harvey Russell Policy Director - Financial Advice and Strategic Advocacy Read bio

Harvey Russell is the Policy Director, Financial Advice and Strategic Advocacy at the Financial Services Council (FSC).

Harvey has extensive experience in wealth management, superannuation and investments having held advocacy, strategy and product roles within Colonial First State and Commonwealth Bank Wealth Management. Most recently he worked in the policy team at the Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia (ASFA) and was responsible for a range of policy matters across the full spectrum of the superannuation sector.

Harvey has a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts (Politics) from the University of Adelaide and a Master of Applied Finance and Investment from Kaplan.

Kirsten Samuels Kirsten Samuels Policy Director – Superannuation Read bio

Kirsten Samuels is the Policy Director for Superannuation at the Financial Services Council.

Kirsten comes to the FSC with over eight years of experience in policy and government relations, working across a number of peak bodies including ClubsNSW, the Outdoor Media Association and, most recently, the Australian Payments Network where she worked on issues such as scams, digital currency, and the Consumer Data Right. She has also spent time as an advisor to a NSW Government Minister and in policy at a local council.

Throughout her career, she has worked on a range of issues and across a number of industries, experiencing policy development from all aspects. She has extensive experience working in policy issues management, advocacy, thought leadership, and industry self-regulation.

Kirsten holds a Bachelor of Business, Bachelor of Laws and a Master of Strategic Communication.

Bronwyn Allan Bronwyn Allan Policy Manager - Cross-Industry Regulation Read bio

Bronwyn is the Policy Manager for Cross-Industry Regulation at the Financial Services Council.

Bronwyn has extensive experience in financial services policy and regulation, having worked closely with trade bodies, regulators and government.

Prior to the FSC, she worked for KPMG’s EMEA FS Regulatory Insights Centre in London where she was responsible for the in-house views on digital finance, cryptoassets, banking prudential and AI regulation across the UK and EU.

Bronwyn has a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) majoring in Economics and minoring in Philosophy (First Class, Economics Medallist) from Queen’s University in Canada. She also has a MPhil in Management (First Class) from the University of Cambridge.

Cooper Gannon Cooper Gannon Policy Manager - Economics & Financial Advice Read bio

Cooper is the Policy Manager for Economics & Financial Advice at the Financial Services Council.

Cooper supports the FSC’s policy work across economics, taxation and financial advice, drawing on experience in economic research and public affairs.

Prior to joining the FSC, Cooper worked in NSW Parliament as a Researcher, supporting policy development and communications across key economic portfolios including tax reform and productivity. He has also undertaken economics research consulting, including macroeconomic modelling and quantitative analysis of inflation dynamics.

Cooper holds a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Sydney and is currently undertaking further postgraduate research study in economics.

Julia Hukka Julia Hukka Policy Manager – Investment Platforms & Superannuation Read bio

Julia Hukka is our Policy Manager - Investment Platforms & Superannuation for the Financial Services Council.

Julia has broad experience in policy development, having worked across multiple industries as a management consultant and as a policy and business analyst in a government relations firm. This diverse background enables her to effectively navigate complex regulatory environments and build key stakeholder relationships.

Prior to the FSC, as a management consultant, she supported the development of business cases, reviews, and evaluations for a range of government services.

Julia has a Bachelor of Arts (Economics) and Bachelor of Advanced Studies (Politics and International Relations) from the University of Sydney.

James Young James Young Policy Manager - Funds Management and Sustainability Read bio

James Young is a Policy Manager for Funds Management and Sustainability at the Financial Services Council.

James has extensive experience in challenging areas of policy development and implementation, gained through work as an adviser in Federal Parliament and a consultant in strategic communications.

Having worked from the perspective of both proponent and regulator on the approval and implementation of contentious projects such as major infrastructure developments, James has engaged with Government, community, and industry stakeholders to achieve common goals while meeting organisational objectives.

James studied economics as an undergraduate and holds two Master’s qualifications, specialising in public policy and sustainability.

Karen Worsfold Karen Worsfold Membership & Marketing Manager Read bio

Karen is the Membership and Marketing Manager at the Financial Services Council.

Karen Worsfold joined the Financial Services Council in August 2025 as the Membership & Marketing Manager, supporting the development and implementation of FSC’s member and industry engagement strategy.

With a background in stakeholder engagement, growth marketing and strategic communications, Karen was previously Head, Member Engagement with the Financial Services Institute of Australasia (FINSIA) and Senior Marketing & Communications Manager with the Financial Planning Association.

Karen holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from the Australian National University and is a Certified Practising Marketer (CPM) member of the Australian Marketing Institute.

Izekiel Picatoste Izekiel Picatoste Events & Member Services Manager Read bio

Izekiel is the Events & Member Services Manager, and joined the Financial Services Council team in August 2017.

Izekiel is responsible for FSC events such as the Political Series, Policy Briefings and webinars and works closely with the Executive Director of Member Services to provide high customer service standards and member satisfaction.

Previously, Izekiel held roles of Receptionist/Event Coordinator and Production Manager at previous workplaces and joined the FSC as a Membership Associate. They hold a Diploma in Event Management and have extensive experience volunteering, co-ordinating and managing events.

Kylie Mac-1 Kylie MacLaren Company Secretary Read bio

Kylie is the Financial Services Council Company Secretary.

Kylie has over 40 years’ experience in the financial services sector, with past work experience at the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) where she supported the secretariat for a number of years. Previous roles were also held at Aon, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Perpetual Trustees and AMP.

As Company Secretary, Kylie provides secretariat support for the FSC Board and the industry and governance sub board committees, as well as assisting in governance matters.

Kylie holds a Post Graduate Diploma of Applied Corporate Governance and Risk Management, a Diploma of Business Administration, a Diploma of Management, and a Certificate in Compliance.

Spiros Koziaris Spiros Koziaris Superannuation Specialist, Implementation Read bio

Spiros Koziaris is a Superannuation Specialist, Implementation at the Financial Services Council.

Spiros is an experienced Superannuation Specialist with a deep and practical understanding of Australia’s superannuation system, developed over more than 35 years in the industry. His career has spanned both the public and private sectors, including 27 years at the Australian Taxation Office, where he held a range of roles—more than 15 of those in management—focused on superannuation policy, administration, and stakeholder engagement. He later spent 8 years at the Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia (ASFA), further broadening his perspective through industry-facing roles that supported the sector in interpreting and applying complex regulatory changes.

Throughout his career, Spiros has consistently demonstrated a strong commitment to collaboration. He is known for working closely with regulators, superannuation funds, and service providers to support the successful implementation of new legislation, digital solutions, and policy reforms. His ability to bridge the gap between policy intent and practical delivery has made him a trusted voice within the superannuation community.

Spiros holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and has completed the ASFA RG146 Superannuation Certificate.

David Delaney David Delaney Superannuation Specialist, Implementation Read bio

David Delaney is a Superannuation Specialist, Implementation at the Financial Services Council.

With over 26 years in the Financial Services industry, David brings a comprehensive perspective on business operations and IT service delivery. For the past 15 years, he has specialised in the Superannuation regulatory landscape, developing a deep understanding of legislative frameworks and their practical application across the sector.

His work focuses on ensuring that regulatory changes are not only compliant but also efficient in design and execution. His passion lies in aligning regulatory intent with operational practicality and playing an active role in advocacy and consultation with key industry stakeholders. This includes ongoing collaboration with regulators.

David brings a strategic, outcomes-driven mindset to all projects, ensuring robust engagement between regulatory bodies and industry participants, and driving innovation in compliance through strong IT service delivery foundations.
